This is the
latest Apollo XII Flight Data File replica, and it is the most
fascinating thus far. This faithful replication of
the original Flight Plan consists of 12 tabs (chapters) and 158 leaves.
As Dick said, "The Flight Plan told us
what to
do, the Operations Manual told us
how to do it."
The Flight Plan contains a phenomenal
amount of technical information, charts, and diagrams, including
four foldout Alternate
Mission Summary Flight Plans -
(see photo.) See if you can find the page for the camera settings for
that historic and famous photograph that Dick took of the Earth/Sun
eclipse. Adding a human element to the book are
detailed menus that the crew members selected before flight.
This limited edition of 50 replicas is
replete with crew annotations and calculations by all three crewmates.
Interspersed throughout are 7 cartoons by recognizable artists.
The crew was unaware of the insertion of the cartoons until they
turned the Flight Plan pages while on their way to the moon (thanks to
Al Worden, backup CMP, for including the light hearted intervals and
laughs for the crew of 'best friends'.

Highest quality, faithful reproduction of the actual flown Gemini XI Flight
Plan used by the mission's Pilot, Richard Gordon.
This Flight Plan has been faithfully replicated, including the paper stock,
graphics, binder rings and even the Velcro strips on its back, resulting in a
look and feel that makes it virtually indistinguishable from the original.
Minor differences exist, given the changes in technology and printing
techniques since the originals were produced by NASA, dating back as early as
the 1960's. Affixed to the inside front and rear of the Flight Plan cover is a
crew photo (inside front) and launch photo (inside rear). Much of the work on
the original checklists was done by hand, and similarly, much hand work has gone
into the production of this
limited edition of 50.
The artist behind this reproduction is Linda Gordon, Dick's wife, an
accomplished artist. In addition, the front of this checklist has been
hand signed by Richard Gordon. It measures 8.5" x 11" and is approximately 45
pages. |

This Limited edition of 50 Launch Operation Checklists has been faithfully
replicated, including the paper stock, graphics, binder rings and even the
detail of the pink paper stock denoting in the original's chapters for abort
procedures. The tabs are also hand made and reinforced giving this work of art
a look and feel that's virtually indistinguishable from the original. These

| Apollo XII Operations Checklist
This is a high fidelity replication of the historic Apollo XII Operations
Checklist (Flight Data File). This flight data file is comprised of 111 leaves
that consists of 85 leaves of operations procedures, 15 abort procedure leaves,
10 crew log leaves and a leaf of stowage list changes for a total of 222 pages.
The Operations Checklist is what the Apollo XII Command Module Pilot, Richard
Gordon, describes as the 'Bible' for his flight to the Moon. The original flight
data file was passed among crew members during flight. The replica also
includes 17 hand made tabs that divide each chapter and numerous navigational
aids, such as star charts. Examples of the chapters include an Index, Star
List, Star Charts, Alarm Codes, Systems Power Sequences, Navigation, P30 Prethrust Velocity Changes, P37 Return to Earth Block Data worksheets, P40
Service Propulsion System Thrusting, P50 IMU Alignments, Systems Management, LM
Interface procedures, Contingency EVA procedures, and Crew Log Pages, among
other procedures, diagrams and various schematics of the spacecraft systems.
Several of the pages contain checkmarks made by crew members that noted each
assigned task as they were performed (hence the name 'checklist'). The
right-handed "checks" were done by either Conrad or Bean, depending on to whom
the task was assigned. Some handwritten annotations by the crew are included
as well.

Cast from the original in Dick Gordon's personal Apollo artifact
collection. Each replica is hand-made and individually numbered with
dependable quality and careful attention to detail.
Includes the small, red, hash-marked decal at the base of the controller that
reads: "Class Three - Not For Flight." These decals were used for equipment
that was not intended for flight, as in simulators, and were also used after
equipment had been flown.
Comes with Provenance (certificate of authenticity signed by Dick Gordon) and
an autographed high-quality 8x10 photograph of Dick and the hand controller in
the Yankee Clipper Command Module prior to the flight of Apollo 12
